FRP bonnets w/pins.. the usual case and the downside

Iv been victim to this a couple times. Iv repaired the damge since and this time iv decided to keep the oem catch and striker aswel as the pins!

The latest victim, a member of the famous all-AE86-team,  MAJORFORCE.

If you decide to run a frp bonnet and have maybe invested in a costly drop-vent or carbon model you should always be aware when you have checked under the bonnet for oil etc to make sure you secure your pins afterwards! I know if my bonnet is un-secure from the drivers seat as it rest on the oem latch, i recomend it! The outcome is a dented roof with extra pin damage if you have those and also a possible indow crack and cracked bonnet! Iv learned the lesson be aware friends!
